Maggie

Maggie was found abandoned in a very rural section of northern Manatee County. She was found with her young puppy. The puppy has since been adopted, but poor Maggie was brought to the vet and found to be suffering from heartworms.

She is currently undergoing the painful heartworm treatments. She already had one setback requiring an additional vet visit at the Veterinary Medical Center of LWR. She is receiving excellent care with our medical foster and trainer, Iris Eastman.

With just one eye, we have no idea what trauma she's been through already, but she is the sweetest dog and her medical foster, Iris, says she will make someone a very lucky pet owner when she is ready for adoption.
